Who I am

I’m a freelance writer and education consultant living and working in the west Midlands. I’ve published two picture books, and I also write short stories, non fiction and articles, and have a YA novel in progress.

This is a personal blog, about the writing I do, the YA and children’s books I read and the authors I admire, some of whom I’m lucky enough to have as friends. As I have a professional interest in literacy teaching and learning, opinions on that will creep in along the way. You can read about my own writing here.

When I’m not writing the reason is usually kid-related. Otherwise you’ll find me running, doing yoga, and spending whatever time I have left on the allotment.

  1. Hi Luce so you gave up on government education jobs for something more creative. Well done and good luck. Donna BW

  2. Hi Lucy,
I’d like you to know that I enjoy your blog so much that I am passing along the Liebster Award to you. This is an award passed from blogger to blogger and you are very deserving of it! There are certain criteria you must follow, as I have done on my blog when I received my award from a reader in America (Ned Hickson). Here’s the link to mine which explains how it works.

    Thank you!

  3. Hi Lucy Just thought I’d drop by and say Hi! Haven’t heard enough from you lately I know how time flies lol 😉 but still catching you on twitter 🙂 Wishing you all the best with your books x
